Musica Felice Charity Concert brings hope through harmony and art on May 11 at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra

PHNOM PENH – The internationally acclaimed choir Musica Felice will present its 14th Charity Concert on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at 4:30 PM at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra. Supported by the Delegation of the European Union to Cambodia, this special concert titled EUROPE DAY – A Musical Journey Through Europe promises an unforgettable evening blending music, visual art, and charitable giving.

A Journey Through Europe with Voices and Brushes

The concert will transport the audience into a European “museum of sound and art,” featuring a repertoire that spans from classical to contemporary. Musical pieces by Claudio Monteverdi and the Gipsy Kings will harmonize with visual references to legendary artists such as Gustav Klimt and Vincent Van Gogh.

Beyond its artistic value, the concert serves a greater mission—to support charitable organizations aiding disadvantaged youth and children in Cambodia, including Sala Baï Hotel & Restaurant School and Tiny Toones Cambodia.

Live Art Performance and Charity Auction

A special feature of this year’s concert is a live painting performance by Italian artist, Romain Garzonio. As the choir performs, Garzonio will create an original artwork live on stage, which will be auctioned off during the event. All proceeds from the auction will go directly to the beneficiary charities.

Singing for a Cause

Since its founding in 2017, Musica Felice has donated over USD 126,000 to local charities in Cambodia. With members from diverse nationalities, the choir unites through a shared passion for music and compassion for the community, using their voices to inspire change.

“We aim to connect cultures through music while giving back to the community we live in,” said Miwako Fujiwara, Musica Felice’s director and conductor. “This concert is not just a performance—it’s a platform to share love and hope.”

A Small Step Toward Changing the World Through Music and Art

Musica Felice invites you and your loved ones to join this moving evening of music, art, and giving. Let’s light up hope with our voices and paint a better future—one note and one brushstroke at a time.
